Black Friday and Cyber Monday are some of the best times of year to buy video games thanks to the numerous deals that pop up over the course of the sale event. One of our favorite games of 2024, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, got an astonishing price drop for PS5 during this year's sale that's still live.
Currently, the game is marked down to just $14.97. This is a whopping 70% off its usual price of $49.99 and also marks its lowest price yet according to price tracker camelcamelcamel. If you've had your eye on it, now's a great time to pick it up in the event it goes out of stock.
Alongside scoring nominations at The Game Awards this year for Best Action/Adventure Game and Innovation in Accessibility, we also had high praise for it in our review. Writer Phil Hornshaw said, "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown captures not only what made games such as The Sands of Time so good, but it irons out a lot of the little issues that plagued the 3D games in this series by opting for a 2D perspective – and owning it." He continues on to say it's, "a worthy successor to the best of the Prince of Persia legacy."
Amazon has a few more game deals live that are worth taking advantage of. Some highlights that caught our eye were Sonic X Shadow Generations, which has dropped to $30, and Star Wars Outlaws, which is on sale for $40. To see even more deals available on Amazon right now, have a look at our breakdown of Amazon's Cyber Monday sale.
There's plenty still going on outside of Amazon as well. For a full look at some of the best deals popping up across other retailers, check out our breakdown of Black Friday 2024. These range from gaming deals, discounts on board games, LEGO sets on sale, and so much more.
Will the Deals Change for Cyber Monday?
Many of the same deals from Black Friday are likely to return for Cyber Monday 2024, including some that sold out or expired. Retailers often stagger their inventory, reserving stock for each major sale event. This means Cyber Monday will bring back popular deals alongside brand-new, never-before-seen offers.
Traditionally, Black Friday was the in-store shopping frenzy, while Cyber Monday focused on online deals. While those lines have blurred, Cyber Monday remains the top event for online-focused retailers like Amazon, Newegg, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Even traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart roll out exclusive online-only offers. Amazon, in particular, has already shifted gears to highlight its Cyber Monday deals early, so expect some amazing sales ahead.
